Everest Base Camp (EBC) Trek with Island Peak (6160m)
Imja tse peak is more popularly known by the name of Island peak. Eric Shipton's party named Island in 1953 as the peak resembles an island in a sea of ice when viewed from Dingboche. Later in 1983, the peak was renamed as Imja Tse.

Island peak was first climbed in 1953 by a British expedition team in a training phase for ascending Mt. Everest. The peak is a part of the south ridge of Lhotse Shar and the main land forms a semicircle of cliffs that rise to the north of the summits of Nuptse, Lhotse, and Lhotse Shar.
Itinerary Details

Day 01 : Arrive Kathmandu, transfer to hotel.

Day 02 : Stay in Kathmandu for official procedure and sightseeing, overnight at hotel.

Day 03 : Fly to LUKLA (2800 m) & trek to Phakding (2,611 m), overnight at guesthouse.

Day 04 : Trek to Namche Bazaar ( (gateway to Mt. Everest 3,440 m), overnight at guesthouse.

Day 05 : Rest at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization, overnight at guesthouse.

Day 06 : Trek to Tyangboche (3,867 m), overnight at guesthouse.

Day 07 : Trek to Pheriche  (4200 m), overnight at guesthouse.

Day 08 : Trek to Lobuche  (4950 m), overnight at guesthouse.

Day 09 : Trek to Everest Base Camp (5400meters) and back to Gorakhshep (5160meters), overnight at guesthouse. at tented camp.

Day 10 : Trek to Kalapatthar (5545meters) and back to Lobuche, overnight at guesthouse

Day 11 :Trek to Chhukung (4730meters), overnight at guesthouse

Day 12 : Trek to Island Peak Base Camp (5200meters), overnight at tented camp

Day 13 : Ascent High Camp of Island Peak (5600meters), overnight at tented camp.

Day 14 : Island Peak Summit (6160meters) and back to Island Peak Base Camp, overnight at tented camp .

Day 15 : Extra day for summit in case of bad weather, overnight at tented camp.

Day 16 : Trek to Dingboche (4360meters), overnight guesthouse.

Day 17 : Trek to Namche Bazaar, overnight at guest house

Day 18 : Trek to Lukla, overnight at guest house.

Day 19 : Fly back to Kathmandu, transfer to hotel .

Day 20 : Leisure day in Kathmandu, overnight at hotel .

Day 21 : Transfer to airport, departure on your own destination .

These are the items of our meal for every day trek:

• Breakfast – Toast / chapatti / pancake / Tibetan bread with Jam / Honey / Butter, Egg any styles (omelets, fried, poached, scrambled), porridge/muesli with milk, rice pudding, Tea / Coffee / hot Chocolate

• Lunch - Juice, soup (mushroom, tomato, vegetable, lentil, beans), sandwich, boiled vegetables, salad, tin meat, tuna, potatoes (fried / boiled / chips), rice, fried noodles, Mo Mo, pasta, spaghetti, pizza, beans, eggs, fruits, Tea / coffee / chocolate.

• Dinner - Soup (mushroom, tomato, vegetable, lentil, beans), sandwich, boiled vegetables, salad, tin meat, tuna, prawn, pop corn, potatoes (fried / boiled / chips), rice, fried noodles, Mo Mo, pasta, spaghetti, pizza, beans, eggs, fruits, Tea / coffee / chocolate.

• Airport transfers by private vehicle.

• Guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu inclusive with all entrance permit fees.

• Expert trekking Guide and porter

• 4 night’s hotel accommodation in Kathmandu with breakfast..

• Island peak climbing permit fee.

• Sagarmatha National Park entrance fees.

• Food and fuel during the trip period..

• Guesthouse and tented camp accommodation during the trekking / climbing period.

• North Face Tent or similar (where camping is necessary) for each member, staffs, climbing Sherpa during the climbing period.

• Each Member One high altitude climbing Sherpa Leaders licensed by Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA), who also teach you climbing technique, assist you whilst on climbing and summit attempt as well as will carry food and gears to high camps.

• Expert cook and kitchen boy (at base camp during climbing period).
• Equipment allowances and wages for the climbing Sherpa guide, cook, kitchen boys, porters.
• Insurance for the climbing Sherpa guide, cook, kitchen boys, porters.

Group climbing equipment such as necessary fixed rope, ice screws, ice bars etc

• Mountain cans cleaning at high camps.

• All camping equipment such as dining tent, kitchen tent, shower tent,toilet tent, and necessary kitchen utensils.

• All Domestic airfares Kathmandu - Lukla - Kathmandu for member and all Nepali staffs.

• All necessary ground transportation by Car.

• All government paper works and procedures, applicable taxes as per the government rules and regulation.

• Duffel bag for trekking and climbing,Climbing Banner,Ti shirts, area map.

• Farewell dinner in Kathmandu at typical Nepalese restaurant..

• Helicopter rescue arrangements if necessary.


The price does not cover the following services

• Personal climbing gears (can also buy or rent in Kathmandu).
• Lunch and dinner in Kathmandu

• Visa Fee.

• Personal trekking Equipment, travel and medical insurance & helicopter rescue, personal expenses.

• Extra hotels in Kathmandu (after 4 nights in Kathmandu).

• Personal climbing insurance which covers travel, medical, accident, evacuation etc

• Personal nature of expenses such as laundry, telephone, e-mail, etc.

• Bar and beverage bills.
